Stitching wire is one of the basic raw material used in the packaging industry alongside paper, adhesive, binding cloth, adhesive tape and printing ink. Till date mostly MS or steel wires were used for this purpose because of costs. However, recently manufacturers of corrugated boxes and others have realized that rusting of these wires poses a major threat to the strength of packaging. Hence premium packaging companies are using pure brass stitching wires for its longevity and high corrosion resistance. Brass stitching wires are highly recommended over MS stitching wires since they do not rust, thereby increasing the lifetime of the product. Also brass wires are preferred over steel wires because of its bright shine and golden yellow surface.
At Super Metal Industries, we manufacture stitching wires in various shapes (including round stitching wires and flat stitching wires ) and sizes suitable for different methods of packaging.
